Suspect Arrested in Stabbing Following Attempted Armed Robbery in the area of 1150 Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan — bpdnews.com


About 2:57 PM on Friday, October 16, 2020, Officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at 1150 Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan. Upon arrival, officers located a victim who was suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers spoke with a witness on scene who stated that a male had entered the store and demanded $20.00 from him. He would not give the suspect the money, so the suspect then asked the victim for the $20.00, to which the victim also refused. At this time, the suspect took out a box cutter, reached over the counter and stabbed the victim. The suspect then fled the store. After further investigation by the District B-3 Detectives, Operations was able to broadcast a detailed description of the suspect.

At about 4:45 PM, a Sergeant assigned to District B-3 observed a male standing in front of 1260 Blue Hill Avenue, who matched the description of the suspect. As the Sergeant exited his cruiser, the suspect began walking away, ignoring the Sergeants request to speak with him. Additional B-3 detectives arrived on scene, and after a brief struggle the suspect was placed under arrest.

The suspect, Davon Hussey 18 years-old of Mattapan, was arrested and charged with Attempt to Commit Crime: Armed Robbery, Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) and Resisting Arrest. Hussey to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
